persepolis/form of creative project

I was very pleased to find out that we would eventually be reading a graphic novel for one of our reading assignments. Before I began reading the comic, I was on the borderline of how the author would be able to make or display relevant points in the form of a comic. However, the important issues were clearly present throughout the text. I was easily pulled into the story because the syntax was very simple and easy to understand, but was portrayed with significant meaning with the artwork. I believe that the form of a graphic novel was a wise choice for the author to implement because it can be examined in an analytical way by a wide range of audiences in a simple but intelligent way.

As of now, I’m not completely sure what form my project will take. But, I will likely use photos of people close to me and explanations for who they are and what they mean to me.
