privileges

Sadly, I don't have any privileges I can enjoy as an asian. I can only think about how people assume asians are good at math. However, that's a disadvantage because I'm not good at math. Also, McIntosh's list has none that applied to me except number 14.

As for being a female, I guess there are some advantages I do enjoy. People would let me through the door first or give me a jacket if I didn't bring mine along. People would do favors for me and pay for things like food. Typical stuff I would say. The disadvantage are: can't walk alone on the streets with peace and quiet and can't play dodge ball with the boys because I'm a freaking girl. I grew up in a predominately female family. So I grew up knowing women are equal (or better) in the family. I didn't experience much disadvantage until I went to school.
