Persepolis/ Creative Project

1) Strangely because of the form persepolis is in, i payed attention more to the text. It was less intimidating. The way it was written did add some humor to the themes they were bringing up. but at the same time i knew that the subject matters brought up in the book aren't humorous at all. It was almost sick that they seemed more humorous. It was interesting though getting a different point of view. i feel like if it were told from an adults point of view there would be a bias. an adult would already understand the situaiton and narrate the story in a way so their point of veiw would come through, even with out meaning to. But a child doesn't understand the situation and is learning about it as it comes, like the reader is. I felt like i was figuring things out as the child or narrator was too. but i did like the graffic novel form better.

2) at this point im still in the process of thinking of my hero and the world he or she will reside in. im trying to think about my idea of what goodness is, a type of goodness that is not weak. but i am having an even harder time trying to think of the world he/ she will be in. im not sure how the "world" will factor into how i want my hero to be portrayed.
