Pretty much all of the privileges she lists I can agree with, though some of them I don't see as exclusive to whites, at least not in the environment I grew up in. Being from Oakland, which is pretty diverse, you see from both angles. One one side, it isn't true that only whites have the ability to be around people of their own race or have access to things like hair salons, markets or social events that cater to their ethnic group. However, this environment also magnifies the issue. I live in one of the wealthier, whiter neighborhoods, and much of poorer neighborhoods are inhabited by people of color. Divisions like these emphasize the privileges of certain ethnic groups.
