hometown

what is your least favorite thing about your hometown?

I am from piedmont. it is a small town near oakland. What i really didn't like about it was that nothing ever happened and gossip spread like wild fire in school. my town was very much its own bubble. everyone was so self absorbed and never really thought beyond their own lives and beyond piedmont. there were times when i felt so naive about the world because i was so isolated in piedmont. it also really bothered me that my peers never thought beyond their own lives. it was so selfish and silly. people would gossip so much and worry about other people's lives when really it didn't matter. There are greater and more important things happening in this world.
