Strength

I believe strength in American culture is represented by perserverance. Those who work hard and overcome whatever obstacles may be in their way--abuse, poverty--and manage to succeed. By succeeding, i mean earning alot of money or making a difference in the community, those kinds of things. Strength is also represented through standing up for what someone believes in. People highly respect and look up to those who take a stand against injustice, and we as a culture see that kind of action as strong because it requires bravery and morality.
In Nietzche strength is represented through people who see what they want and go out and get it. The people who make decisions that are beneficial to their own desires are the strong ones, because they recognize that people are creatures of want and aren't ashamed to admit it.
