Big Muscles

Strength comes from confidence and ability. The can be applied to any field, depending on where your interests and natural abilities lie. To me, power and passion both signify strength. When someone looks up to you because you stand out in some way, you know you have strength. For example: musicians have strength in rhythm and beat, Chuck Liddell is a symbol of physical strength, and Steve Jobs has financial strength to invest in and endorse whatever he wants to a vast public audience. There is also political strength, which is probably one of the most influential forms of strength you can obtain these days.

Do we applaud or attack these people of "strength"? It depends on how they choose to use it. Many would argue George W. has wielded his strength a little poorly... and he will be criticized for generations. On the contrary, someone who uses their strength in effort to improve the lives of others, for the greater good if you will, should be celebrated. Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr are good examples.

Nietsche depicts strength as free will. Those who use it at least. To be able to choose what you want out of whatever challanges or prospects that present themselves on a constant basis. When social norms push towards behaving a certain way, even on a small scale like between friends, strength is to speak your opinion; especially when it is contradictory to the norm.

For example, Eric Cartman exhibits strength in saying "Screw you guys... I'm going home."
