In today's world, strength is exemplified by those who have overcome great difficulties. People who live in poverty yet are able to make a living are strong, people who live in extreme oppression yet are hopeful of a better future are strong, those who continue to vote even though their vote does not count are strong. Women who have overcome the vast difficulties of sexism are strong, as well. Although strength usually means money and power and brute strength, I feel it can be defined more easily in people.

The only time I can remember ever hearing of Nietzsche was when I saw Little Miss Sunshine and Dwayne was reading one of his books. From what I gathered, Dwayne had amazing self control and after reading Nietzsche myself, I find that is what the purpose of his writings is. Strength is the ability to control yourself and point your energy in a specific direction or purpose. It is the ability to turn your "dreams," so to speak, into reality. You must be focused and have the will power to achieve what you wish.
