Strength and the worst job I ever had

The worst job I ever had was one of the most frustrating and time consuming experiences I ever had. I worked at the "cafe" in the MIYO teen center in San Rafael. We had to attend some job training seminars and we signed up to work for a few hours a week for about ten weeks and received $100 dollar stipend, which worked out to about $2 and hour at the end. Every Tuesday I sat in forty five minutes of traffic to get there on time, right after eight hours of high school. Most of the time middle schoolers would come in and scream, blast rap, and get in fights with each other. Usually my co worker would abandon the counter to hang out with their friends or work on homework. God I can't think about it any more it is bringing back too many bad memories.

Strength in America is represented by nuclear weapons (our giant military in general), the control and exploitation of other countries, and power over others. Because of globalization other countries are beginning to redefine how strength is measured, to fit in with the American standard because America has tremendous control over the global economy, and therefore the livelihood of most of the world. Strength in America only counts when it is outwardly proclaimed, even if it is an internal quality.

Strength in Nietzche is the ability to live in the moment and take advantage of life's opportunities, despite the pain and disappointments. First one must accept that life has hardships and then one must use every moment to affirm their life.
