Frankenstein/Roussea's/Hobbes
Is Roussea's state of nature confirmed or disconfirmed by Frankenstein? ...Hobbes state of war?
I believe that Roussea's state of nature is confirmed by Frankenstein because it shows that the the monster's lack of involvement of society. Before he was completely turned away from society, he was like a child coming into the world, untainted. Upon being rejected from something that he wanted to be a part of, violence prevailed.
Frankenstein does not confirm Hobbes because the monster simply uses distruction to get his point across because of rejection, not because he was initially bad to begin with.
