The Problem I Face
The problem that faces not only me, but I think the world and humanity on a much larger scale, is how we are moving towards a hugely economic way of living. We value money above everything else; above the lives of people and goodwill, above care for the impoverished, above much of what I believe makes us human beings in the first place. Our world has started to lean this way for a while now, away from culture and craft, and into this market that focuses solely on earning one more dollar and making sure that last penny is saved. I feel like this is a problem that is not being addressed enough; we are forgetting everything in our search for riches and material things, and forgetting who we are and why we are here in the process. I want to try and help to fix this. I feel that not enough light is being shed on the subject, and while I know it will be very hard to do anything, I feel like it is part of my duty to. This problem is growing exponentially, and will eventually consume us, so it needs to be reversed.
